1. Booking and Reservations
To secure a skip hire, customers must complete the booking process by providing accurate and complete information. Reservation Confirmation will be sent via email or SMS upon successful booking.
1.1 Availability
Skips are subject to availability. We strive to accommodate all requests, but peak seasons may affect availability.
1.2 Changing or Canceling a Booking
- Modification: Changes to the booking can be made up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time without incurring additional fees.
- Cancellation: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time may incur a cancellation fee.
2. Payment Terms
All payments must be completed as per the agreed schedule. We accept various payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.
2.1 Payment Due Dates
Full payment is required upon delivery of the skip. Failure to make timely payments may result in additional charges.
2.2 Late Payments
- Interest: Late payments may be subject to interest charges at a rate of 5% per month.
- Collection Fees: Persistent late payments may incur collection fees.
3. Delivery and Collection
Our team will deliver and collect the skip at the agreed-upon location and time. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that access is available.
3.1 Responsibilities Upon Delivery
- Site Preparation: Customers must prepare the site for skip placement, ensuring adequate space and accessibility.
- Permits: It is the customer's responsibility to obtain any necessary permits for skip placement.
3.2 Delays and Rescheduling
We aim to adhere to scheduled times. In case of unforeseen delays, customers will be notified promptly. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
4. Usage Guidelines
Skips provided are intended for the disposal of general waste. Specific guidelines must be followed to ensure safe and efficient usage.
4.1 Permitted Waste
- Household waste
- Garden waste
- Non-hazardous construction materials
4.2 Prohibited Items
- Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, and paints
- Electrical appliances over 80kg
- Medicines and pharmaceuticals
- Vehicles and large machinery
Improper disposal of prohibited items may result in additional fees and legal action.
5. Liability
Mitcham Skip Hire is not liable for any damages or losses incurred during the use of our skips, except where due to our negligence.
5.1 Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure that the skip is used in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain the skip to prevent damage or overloading.
5.2 Damage to Property
Customers are responsible for any damage caused to property during the placement and retrieval of the skip.
6. Insurance
Mitcham Skip Hire maintains insurance coverage for our operations. However, customers are advised to have their own insurance for any personal property disposed of in the skip.
7. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate service if terms and conditions are violated.
7.1 Grounds for Termination
- Non-payment of dues
- Misuse of the skip
- Violation of prohibited items guidelines
Termination may result in the immediate removal of the skip and additional charges.
8. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mitcham Skip Hire operates.
